Product Photography for Travel Accessories Company

Redesigning a website often prompts the need for new photographs — and that’s what often brings us together! :)

Ms. Jetsetter, a Chicago travel accessories company, and a female and black owned business, began redesigning their website and recognized the need for images of their product beyond the classic product on a white background, often used for an e-commerce product page.

In addition to the website needs, we also wanted to create several unique images to help support their social media content. So we experimented with different looks, and created unique “locations” within our one location, to get more variety. We really enjoyed mimicking sunlight coming through a window to evoke a different feel.

We also had these beautiful models showcase the products, providing an additional perspective.

We also managed to squeeze in a portrait of the owner, Tracey, who’s warm smile is a perfect reflection of her personality — who doesn’t need one of these for their About Us page? 😍

Virtual Tour of St. Catherine Labouré Catholic School

The pandemic has been challenging on students, parents, teachers but St. Catherine Labouré is one example of a beautiful community that has worked through it together.

Below is an example of a virtual tour to help prospective parents learn more about the school. Subtitles/Closed Captions were created for the video in the event their audience does not have their sound turned on.

The majority of the video footage was shot during one school day, with some supplemental footage from parents and faculty members.

Behind the Scenes of a Customer Testimonial Video

Sometimes our footage is used as part of a larger video project and often times we do not have access to the final product.

That being said, here are some behind the scenes photos to give you a feel of what’s entailed in a customer testimonial video.

This customer testimonial video has:

  • a two camera angle setup both shooting in 4k

  • wireless audio recorded to an external recorder

  • key light to fill the subject

A two camera angle setup helps keep the viewer engaged, and enables more options in the edit to piece together thoughts, remove “umms” and “ahs”, etc.

Marcella Raymond of WGN reported on how our client Bean and Boosh, adapted their business during the pandemic. Ann Munoz and Julie Cruz showcased their creative, on-the-fly talents for the segment, and our footage showcased their recent ballon installations!

We were able to bring the sheer magnitude of this team’s creativity by incorporating drone aerial footage and use creative angles and camera movement to highlight the intricacies of their designs.

The segment aired at 4:30pm and 5:30pm on July 2, 2020 and we cannot be happier to be a part of this business’ amazing journey. This is what it’s all about! 🥰

Here is the video footage with shared with WGN to highlight each installation.

Fox Training Facility

Fox Training Facility

With our fleeting attention span, businesses often need short, compelling videos to get their audiences to stop and engage. In collaboration with Fox Training Facility in Chicago, here is an example of a 1 minute video to showcase their new space to independent physical trainers and their clients.

This video includes baked in captions in case the viewer does not have sound turned on.

Behind the Scenes on Real Estate Lighting

In order to get real estate shoots to pop, we add additional light as needed. Here is a behind the scenes look on how to create well lit images in environments that might need that extra pop of light. In this example, the cabinets were not well lit by the available light.

An example of using more than available light to help the cabinets pop.

Creatives need personal projects to grow, challenge and inspire.

Owner and operator Geraldine, here! I’m so honored to be nominated by my Orangetheory Fitness studio @otfwoodridge for their #MoreLife Membership Appreciation spotlight. While part of being featured is capturing a “why I love OTF” video clip at the studio, I wanted to create my own. I hope this 1 minute touches you in some way, and shows why OTF holds a special place in my heart.

My heart is overflowing with gratitude when I think of these people, for without them, I know I would not have made it to the top!

❤️The entire team at @pristinetrails, especially my guides Kim, Passat, and Juma — the superstars that make getting to 5895 meters | 19,340 feet look easy

❤️My awesome OTF coaches who inspire me literally, everyday with their energy and passion, and challenge me to run/bike/row farther/faster and lift heavier: Coach Rudy @rudes713, Coach Marielle @m_emory14, Coach Lewis @the_freakin_rican, Coach Nick @nickcarroll93

❤️And last but not least, my cousin, tent roommate, and fellow mountain camera operator @micolim, for wanting to climb Kilimanjaro too. We did it! :) Thank you for being part of this journey of a lifetime.

With All My Splat Points,

G.
